Bank Account Validator
Check a Brazilian branch, account and check digit with the official rule of nine major banks, from Banco do Brasil to Nubank.
- Format check only
- Checks structure and check digits. It does not confirm that the document, card or account really exists.
- Private by default
- Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
How it works
Each bank calculates the account check digit its own way, with modulus 10 or 11 and different weights. This tool applies the rule of the selected bank to the branch and account you type.
Supported banks: Banco do Brasil, Santander, Banrisul, Caixa, Bradesco, Nubank, Itaú, HSBC and Citibank. The rules come from the open-source brazilian-utils library.
Questions
Does a valid result mean the document exists?
No. The check only confirms that the number has the right shape and that its check digits are consistent. Only the issuing authority can confirm that a document was actually issued and belongs to someone.
