What Is My IP
See your public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and the approximate location and provider reported for them.
- Remote lookup
- Fetches information from an external service.
- Uses the network
- Data leaves your browser. Your browser asks ipify for your public IP address, then sends that IP to ipwho.is to look up its approximate location and provider.
Looking up your IP address…
How it works
A web page cannot see your public IP by itself, so this tool asks two public services. ipify returns the address your requests come from, and ipwho.is looks up the location and network registered for it.
Both services see your IP address, as any website you visit does. Nothing else is sent, and the results are not stored.
Questions
How accurate is the location?
IP geolocation usually identifies the country and often the region, but the city can be wrong, especially on mobile networks or when you use a VPN.
